Also known as the Dhungiri temple, this glorious shrine dedicated to Hidimba Devi, was built in 1553 CE by Maharaja Bahadur Singh. During the period of Navratri in Manali, devotees worship and pay tribute and offerings to Hidimba Devi instead of Durga Devi. It’s built using the modest pagoda-style wooden temple which is in the middle of the cedar forest built over a rock jutting out of the ground which is worshipped as the image of the Hidimba Devi in the main sanctum of the temple.
Rohtang Pass
